Description

We thought for the autumn cases we would focus on particular wine producers, so in each box are three pairs of wines from three different wineries around the world. 

Our White case highlights wines from South Africa, Portugal and France.

Stablemate Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are from Excelsior Estate in Robertson, South Africa. The Chardonnay is bright lime green in colour with aromas of peach, marmalade and orange blossom. On the palate there are green apple fruit flavours and a full creamy palate. This is a Chardonnay for everyday drinking and is only very lightly oaked. The Sauvignon has a complex nose with passion fruit, guava and ripe fig aromas. Gooseberry and capsicum on a full, rich palate with a long sweet-fruited finish.

Casal Monteiro White and the Alvarinho Forma de Arte are from Quinta do Casal Monteiro, Tejo, Portugal. The Casal White is made from Arinto and Fernao Pires grapes and is pale green in colour with an intense nose of floral and citrus elements and also white fruit.  Full on the palate with good body and fruit echoing the nose with a fine crisp persistent finish. The Alvarinho is wonderfully aromatic with a creamy, rich mouthfeel of citrus and orange blossom. 

St Peyre Sauvignon Blanc and the Picpoul are from Domaine St Peyre, Languedoc, France. The Sauvignon is a rich and complex wine with scents of exotic fruits (guava & mango) and citrus are dominated by strong berry flavours. The Picpoul is dry, crisp and fragrant, with a distinctive nutty nuance. Perfect with seafood,
