Description

Six great bottles, all bestellers here at CPW,  of juicy red wines perfect for all the Christmas festivities. 

Chateau la Passonne is a delicious Merlot dominated, modern-style 'claret' with an easy, ripe fruitiness, which makes it approachable and food friendly. Red Herring Shiraz has a lovely deep red colour. A rich and rounded wine with soft tannins providing a lingering, fruit-driven finish. Bottled especially for Chris Piper Wines with a label designed by renowned Devon artist, Simon Drew. Passieno is one of my favourites, a rich and deep damson wine with a fabulously long length. Malbec Serbal is an unoaked fruity wine, an intense red with purple hues. On the nose, notes of violet with delicate red fruits leading to an unctuous palate of intense, delicious pure fruits. Rosso Vezzani is a naturally spicy red, also unoaked, with fresh notes of wild strawberries and ripe cherries and smooth tannins. Extremely drinkable and great for parties. Finally the Cassagnau Rouge has an expressively fruity bouquet and a hint of spice and Mediterranean herbs that herald in a smooth, creamy palate with velvety tannins. Definitely a wine to share with friends.
